Dapoxetine is a prescription medication specifically designed to treat Premature Ejaculation (PE) in men. It is the first oral medication approved for this purpose and has been proven effective in increasing the time it takes to ejaculate, resulting in longer lasting sexual activity. Dapoxetine is sold under the brand name Priligy, among others, and is classified as a short-acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
The recommended starting dose is usually 30 mg, which should be taken 1 to 3 hours before planned sexual activity. Depending on effectiveness and tolerance, your doctor may increase the dose to 60 mg. Do not take more than one tablet in a 24-hour period Timing: It is important to take the tablet at the right time before sexual activity, as it is not intended for regular daily use. Only take it when you anticipate sexual activity within the next few hours Before taking Dapoxetine, please read the manufacturer's leaflet supplied with your medication to ensure correct use. If you have concerns then contact or questions, contact your GP.
Dapoxetine is suitable for adult men aged 18 to 64 who have been diagnosed with Premature Ejaculation. It is especially helpful for men who experience ejaculation within two minutes of penetration and have difficulty delaying ejaculation in nearly all sexual encounters.
Dapoxetine is generally safe for most men when used as prescribed. However, like all medications, it may cause side effects. Our pharmacy team will ensure that Dapoxetine is suitable for you based on your health and other medications you may be taking based on your answers to the online consultation form.

These side effects are typically mild and tend to improve as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if you experience more severe side effects such as fainting, changes in mood or behaviour, or if you have any concerns about your health while taking Dapoxetine, you should seek medical advice.
