Will My Local Surgery get me more customers?

Yes, we’re building an online community of customers across the UK that need Pharmacy First services. These customers will be able to book a consultation time from the availability you provide. It also helps you to better look after your existing customers, giving them the option of a video consultation with their local pharmacist

Is it easy for patients to use My Local Surgery?

Yes, My Local Surgery is very easy for customers to use, they simply create an account and book a time slot for their consultation. They are sent reminders before the start of the consultation. They can then access their video consultation from any device via the reminder emails or from within their My Local Surgery account. After the consultation, they will be able to pay for their prescription (if required) and initiate the shipping directly within the platform

What about walk-ins?

You can handle walk-in customers as you already do, we don’t interfere with your local community service

How do I ship the customers prescriptions?

As soon as a customer completes the transaction for the prescription you have issues, a Royal Mail shipping label will be automatically created for you to use. Royal Mail will come and collect your daily prescriptions to be shipped each day at 5pm

Is it easy to use, and will we need training?

The platform is simple and easy to use and onboarding support is provided, including a walk-through with our own pharmacist during your first consultation

How do I get paid by the NHS for My Local Surgery consultations?

You get paid by the NHS through Sonar or Pharma Outcomes

Do I need any specialist equipment?

You will require a webcam and microphone for the video consultations and a label printer for the postage labels.
